Dr Zhian (Anthony) Chen is a senior research fellow and NHMRC Emerging Leadership fellow. At the Frazer Institute, he led a team under the UQ Health Research Accelerator program (HERA) to investigate the biochemical and molecular mechanisms that govern T-cell-mediated immunity, with a specific emphasis on the role of follicular helper T (Tfh) cells in antibody response and the significance of Tfh signature cytokines in supporting antibody response while preventing T cell exhaustion in chronic infections and cancers. Dr Chen's work employs multi-disciplinary techniques and has led to several high-impact discoveries in the field, including publications in Nature Immunology and Science Immunology.
