Associate Professor Ash Haque is a Research Theme Leader in Bacterial and Parasitic Infections at the Doherty Institute, and as a Dame Kate Campbell Fellow leads a fundamental immunology laboratory within the Department of Microbiology & Immunology, University of Melbourne. For the past decade, his group has been interested in discovering new ways to improve adaptive immune responses during infection with blood-stage malaria parasites, using single-cell genomics, spatial transcriptomics and computational modelling.
